Gracia Missions is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to supporting the ministry of Christian Camping, forming the next generation of leaders and fulfilling the Great Commission in Latin America, the United States and Canada through strategic Christian Camping partnerships and programs.
Adam Carlsen - Founder/Director
Adam is from Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast. He studied psychology at George Fox University in Oregon, before starting a series of businesses, working in Hotel Management and Development and writing two books. Having grown up as a "camp kid", he has a passion for Christian Camping and has served at camps in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, before coming to Latin America as a volunteer in 2008. He spent time as a volunteer at Camp Roblealto in Costa Rica and Camp Cresta Del Mar in Panama, consulting and assisting with those ministries. At the end of those four months, God called him to Latin America to be a missionary working with Christian Camping Latin America. Seven years later he has settled in Costa Rica with his wife, Andrea. Andrea Rodriguez - Adolescent Ministries and Finance Andrea is from Costa Rica and is trained as a psychologist in that country. She was a founding member of Lideres Creativos, an organization dedicated to training and providing resources to youth leaders (Church, Schools and Ministries). With a strong passion and heart for the adolescent/teenage population, Andrea left after nine years to form Decima Potencia (Tenth Potential), a strategic partner. With Gracia Missions, she manages all project related to adolescents and assists with finance and program development. Jean Carlsen - Administrative Jean worked in education for 25+ years as a teacher and in special education, before retiring recently from that field. She has been involved with Christian Camping for over 30 years and serves with Gracia Missions in administrative and clerical areas. Board of Directors - Gracia Missions
Mark Piscitelli: Mark worked as general manager of Specialty Heating and Cooling in Aloha, Oregon, before entering into the commerical real-estate world with one of the largest firms in Portland, Oregon. He worked summers at the Cannon Beach Conference Center family camp as a leader and counselor and has a passion for Christian Camping. He has served as president on many community boards in the state of Oregon. Kathy Hale: Kathy has a passion for ministry and Christian Camping and has supported the ministry for many years. She worked as finance manager with the Graham Fire Department in Washington State, managing their staff and budget and although recently retired, continues to consult privately with departments in the Seattle, Washington area. Isaac Mora: Isaac was the Program Director at Camp Roblealto in Costa Rica for more than four years and worked together with Director Adam Carlsen during that time. He has been involved with Christian Camping in Costa Rica for more than 20 years, first as a camper and later as a cabin leader. He is currently the Director of English Education at Palabra de Vida, a private primary school in Costa Rica. Mike Dreiske: Mike was the Executive Director of Beartooth Mountain Ministries, an organization that includes a christian camp (Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch) and Arrowhead Bible School in Fishtail, Montana. In total, he served more than 13 years at Beartooth Mountain and in Christian Camping. Mike recently left christian ministry full-time and serves as CEO of Dreiske Enterprises, a moving and transport corporation in Chicago, Illinois. |
